A proud alum of Head Start, Dr. Daniel E. Walker is an internationally recognized schol ar, artist, and social entrepreneur working in the fields of education, eco nomic and community development, arts and entertainment, religion, and publ ic history.
As the author of the acclaimed book No More, No More: Slavery and Cultural Resistance in Ha vana and New Orleans and the seminal study “Black Church Next: Challenges a nd Opportunities Facing African American Congregations in 21st Century Los Angeles,” his scholarship has appeared in numerous forums and has been cite d in hundreds of scholarly publications.
