Siobhan Mcgregor

Governor for Contract Faculty
Siobhan McGregor-Gordon, Santa Rosa Jr. College
Discipline: English for Multilingual Students

Siobhan McGregor-Gordon currently teaches Career Development and College Preparation classes in the English for Multilingual Students (formerly ESL) Department at Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC). She takes great pride in serving Sonoma County’s immigrant community and helping them develop the English language and workforce preparation skills her students need to reach their educational goals and achieve financial stability.

In addition to her instructional responsibilities and serving as SRJC’s representative on the FACCC Board of Governors, Siobhan sits on the All Faculty Association Executive Council, holds the position of Secretary-Treasurer, and participates on the negotiations team. Last year, she was elected to SRJC’s Academic Senate, where she strives to keep adult education, its faculty, and students part of the conversation.

Prior to teaching, Siobhan worked in County government. She started her career there as an accountant and ended it as an administrative manager. She finds working with students and faculty far more rewarding.

In her free time, Siobhan enjoys finding new trails to hike in Sonoma County, spending time with her family, and planning adventures with her husband both abroad and on the road.
